Wind Turbine Technician – V236 & Vestas Projects

We are looking for experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to join our team and support wind turbine installation and service projects across Europe. This role will involve working on modern wind turbine technology, including Vestas V236 turbines, as part of major onshore and offshore renewable energy projects.

About The Role

The Wind Turbine Technician will be responsible for supporting the installation, assembly, maintenance, and commissioning of wind turbines in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Working as part of an international team, the Wind Turbine Technician will carry out mechanical and electrical activities on wind turbines, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installation activities on wind turbines in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.

• Support the installation, assembly, and commissioning of turbine components and systems.

• Carry out mechanical works including bolting, torqueing, tensioning, component installation, and general turbine assembly.

• Assist with electrical installation, cable routing, termination, and connection activities where required.

• Work safely at height and within turbine nacelles, hubs, towers, and other turbine areas.

• Use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and specialist installation equipment safely and effectively.

• Carry out inspections and quality checks to ensure work is completed to the required standards.

• Follow all project-specific safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and manufacturer instructions.

• Work closely with supervisors, authorised technicians, engineers, and other members of the project team.

• Complete relevant documentation, checklists, and daily reports as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, Installation Technician, Service Technician, or similar role within the wind energy industry.

• Previous experience working with Vestas wind turbines is required.

• Experience working with the Vestas V236 turbine is highly desirable.

• Experience carrying out mechanical and/or electrical installation activities on wind turbines.

• Good understanding of wind turbine installation, assembly, maintenance, and safe working practices.

• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, torqueing and tensioning equipment, and other specialist turbine installation equipment.

• Full GWO training and a valid GWO Medical are required.

• Ability to work at height and in physically demanding environments.

• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within wind energy and industrial environments.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work effectively within an international and multicultural team.

• English language skills at a minimum B1 level are mandatory and will be assessed during the recruitment process.

• Right to work in the EU is mandatory.

• Availability to support ongoing and future projects across Europe.
