Wind Turbine Technician with High Voltage (HV) Experience (Worldwide Projects)
We are looking for experienced Wind Turbine Technicians with High Voltage (HV) experience to join our international projects worldwide.
This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and innovative renewable energy projects globally, supporting high-voltage operations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service activities within wind farms and related electrical infrastructure.
This position operates on a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule, providing the opportunity to gain international experience while maintaining regular time at home between assignments.
About the Role
The Wind Turbine Technician with High Voltage expertise is responsible for carrying out HV-related activities within wind energy projects, ensuring all work is performed according to technical specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Working as part of an international team, the successful candidate will support the delivery, operation, and maintenance of critical wind energy infrastructure around the world, contributing to the reliability and performance of renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities
Perform high-voltage installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting activities within wind energy projects.
Support commissioning and operational activities related to HV equipment and electrical systems.
Carry out inspections and preventive maintenance on HV infrastructure.
Execute technical interventions according to OEM procedures, project requirements, and safety standards.
Support fault finding and diagnosis on HV equipment and associated systems.
Read and interpret technical documentation, electrical diagrams, procedures, and work instructions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
Report technical findings and completed work accurately and in a timely manner.
Contribute to continuous improvement and efficient project delivery.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Strong knowledge of Electrical Systems and High Voltage (HV) Equipment.
Previous experience working with High Voltage systems is mandatory.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with HV equipment is considered a strong advantage.
Experience in the wind energy sector is considered an advantage.
English language skills with a minimum level of B1.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional standards.
Ability to work effectively within international and multicultural teams.
Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally according to project requirements.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Additional Knowledge and Training Valued
We will highly value candidates with experience or training in:
Switchgear operations in wind farms.
Switchgear operations with switch-disconnectors including Inael, Ibérica de Parallajes, Ormazabal, ABB, MESA, Siemens, and similar manufacturers.
Use of testing instruments on HV switchgear and HV cables.
HV transformer maintenance.
Megger testing of switchgear and transformers.
High-voltage detectors and earthing equipment.
Installation of HV cables up to 36/72kV.
HV cable preparation and T-Connector installation.
NXplus training.
Weiz Modules 1-5 training.
8VM1 training.
8DJH training.
